Online Video Virgin

Today Viddler took my online video virginity.
I had purchased a Sony PC5 camcorder back in 2001 and at the time took some footage but never did anything with it. Finally, 6 years on, I’ve imported the footage into iMovie and started messing about.

Quite a bit of the footage of back in my kiting days so it was a trip down memory lane as I put together a quick tour in my lessons of learning to fly a kite.

Now came the decision on where to publish my masterpiece. Of course I could follow the herd over to youtube, but I opted to venture into Viddler’s garden. Why?
Well for one my Twitter feed is always populated with Colin and his top notch Viddler publicity. But also because they are showing some promise and the future looks good for them.

101% True Geek Now

Last night was the final straw, I am now a complete geek. I had my shopping delivered from web to door!
I will be honest I’m not a big fan of grocery shopping, it is so mundane. Added to this I am slowly developing a phobia of the local Tesco’s store; I’m fine in Waitrose, in fact I love going there. But apart from an organic soft cheese spread Waitrose do not have much in the way of sandwich fillers. Tesco’s on the other hand do a great range of chunky sandwich spread’s.
Sorry I digress, this should be about geek life-style not sandwich fillers!
Anyway due to a lot on my plate at present it was decided that Lucy and I would try out the Tesco home delivery. After a quick sign up and a tour round the shop we were off.
It probably took longer than expected but once we are get to know were the virtual bread aisle is we will be fine. At the checkout a 7-9pm delivery window was scheduled and life carried on.
True to their word the man with a van turns up and our shopping is delivered, what a time saving exercise.
Now all I need to do is find a way for friends and family to be delivered to the door and I can live in piece in my interweb world.

I’m on 25peeps.com.
It was so long ago I filled in the form I forgot all about the site! I think I followed a link there from Derek at 5ThirtyOne, I completed the form and then waited.
The site itself looks quite good and the idea behind it is of course another one of those simple, wish you thought of it, style. The only downside is that unfortunately sex sells, look at the highest ranking ‘peeps’ but then come on be honest did you not click on the clevage only to find out is was some blokes back!

If you are going to join the 25peeps.com community you best off pick a really clever image, think long and hard about what best describes you, you need something that ties up all the different aspects of your online persona. If in doubt just use a picture of a woman in her pants!
