Networking 101
Last night was a fun filled little gem, I was talked into attending a networking for networks seminar, or something like that.
To be honest I always thought networking was a peice of CAT5 cable, turns out networking is also talking to other people about they could not really care less about!
What a strange evening, 40 odd people all doing the business card shuffle and presenting themselves and their business’. Me; I just stood there with my Bullshit Bingo sheet and crossed off all the key words. I’ve never heard ‘total cost of ownership’ mentioned so much!

I was talked into going into one of those networking seminars in university. That was just before my graduation, and before finding a job, so I thought it would be a good idea. So, I went, and then I realized that all the people there had the same motive.
How silly of me. So, think of a networking seminar, who else would be there but people who need something from other people. No one there had anything real to offer to me or anyone else. We were all losers! Then, I changed my strategy. I started going to seminars by influential people instead. Voila! There were a lot of other influential people in the audience.
